The Best Vintage Stores in Stockholm

Scandinavian style is known for its simplicity, functionalism and elegance and Stockholm is a wonderful place to shop for clothes that are uncomplicated, clean and chic. The city is home to a plethora of brilliant vintage shops catering to every taste. With that in mind, here are our favorite places to find vintage clothes and accessories in Sweden’s capital.

One of Stockholms oldest and most popular vintage stores, filled with a beautifully curated selection of on-trend second hand and vintage items. Here you’ll find a lot of well known designer brands like Chanel and Celine mixed with stylish, high quality no-brand pieces.

The male version of Judits serving you hand-picked vintage pieces with a Scandi-chic-meets-Italian-luxe aesthetic. One of the very best vintage shops in Södermalm featuring both exclusive designer brands and unbranded quality vintage gems. Very fashionable, and an excellent place to gather style inspiration from the shops well-dressed regulars.

Specializing in early 20th century clothing, Old Touch offers items for both men and women dating through to the 1960s. The store also offers a particularly good range of hats and shoes, and has a cross section of items you can rent for special occasions or theme parties.

If you love colorful styling and the 70s vibe, this is the place for you! Funky sunglasses, vintage dresses, cowboy boots and so much more. Check out their website for an instant dose of color and style inspiration.

Emmaus is a Charity Second Hand store with a separate store next door for vintage items. At Emmaus Vintage you'll find brand names and premium items for both men and women, with a very affordable price tag. The shop is super small with only two changing rooms though, so be prepared to queue to try stuff on.

A vintage treasure trove offering an eclectic mix of clothing pieces ranging from the 1920s to 1990s, many being deadstock. Beyond clothing, you will find things like vintage pipes, typewriters, posters, guitars and more. Modern Retro also has one of Stockholms best selections of vintage leather. The owner has been running vintage stores since the 80s and definitely knows how to cater to vintage aficionados. Make sure you have enough time to look through the many racks of clothing, Modern Retro might not look like much from the outside but it's a large space housing loads of vintage gems!

At just 11m2, Saker & Ting is smaller than most stores you've ever entered, but so worth squeezing into. The owner has been called Stockholms "Grand old lady of Vintage" and have been running the store for decades. She really knows how to please even the most particular vintage lover so don't hesitate to ask her for help if you struggle to find what you are looking for. The clothing racks are literally bursting with fantastic pieces, and you are sure to find something you love.

Chances are you've already heard about Beyond Retro since it is an international chain of vintage stores offering an Americana style mix of hip brands and no-brand vintage and second hand clothing. Mainly the place to go for playful, colorful outfits, grunge dresses 80-s, 90-s and early 00-s styles, but the store often have some very classic vintage pieces from designer brands. I once found a Yohji Yamamoto dress hidden in a corner of the store on Drottninggatan!

Somewhat of a legend among Stockholms vintage lovers, Lisa Larsson Second Hand has been around since 1986 and is filled with clothing and accessories dating back as far as the 1930s. The selection is largely catering to women, with everything from floaty summer dresses to suits, jeans and accessories, but is worth a visit for men too. At Lisa Larsson, who also sells on commission, you'll find timeless pieces that never go out of style.

Has been called Europe's best vintage store for men, and we would like to add also for women appreciating mens tailoring. It might look like an average store upon entering, but you'll soon discover that every item is made in the 1970s or earlier. Looking for a 2-, 3-, or 4-piece suit? How about a tweed jacket or a smoking from the 1920s? A. Marchesan is your place, make sure you have an entire afternoon for shopping to be able to try on all the gems this store offers.

Opened near Mariatorget in 2015 by a brother and sister wanting to create a vintage shop with a small but well curated selection. Here you'll find stylishly presented vintage clothing with a southwestern-folksy vibe, an excellent selection of accessories, and even art, making the store a real hipster’s paradise.

Found on the leafy and well-to-do island of Kungsholmen, 59 Vintage Store offers a collection dating as far back as the 1920s. The store prides itself on having an impressive collection of exclusive vintage items from high-end brands like Dior, Hermes and Chanel. Saying that their focus is "dresses, glitter and glamour". If you’re looking for something exclusive with real pizazz, 59 Vintage is the place for you!
